Happy New Year, Everyone! I wanted to share my first card of 2009 with you. I sent this one to my uncle whose birthday is New Year's Day. He and my aunt live in Florida, so I thought shells from Seaside would be great. They were so fun to color! I might just have to make a few more of these for the rest of our Florida birthdays this year.
Happy Stampin' in the New Year! JenThese colors are a little outside my norm, but I needed something more masculine. I watercolored the shells in Bravo Burgundy and So Saffron, using blender pens. Then, I sponged Creamy Caramel and a touch of Close to Cocoa for the sand, finishing with Baja Breeze sponged for the sky - oh and a little Saffron sponged all around the edges to give it a bit of a sunny sky feel. The sentiment is from Embrace Life and was punched with our Large Oval, then sponged with Burgundy. There is no Burgundy in the sand, although the Cocoa looks a little like it here. Thanks for looking!
