Simply Scrappin' Card

I created this super fast and easy card with some patterned paper and a card stock sticker from our Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin' Kit.

The card base is Whisper White layered with a strip of Soft Suede card stock and this pretty patterned paper from the kit.  I cut them a little short, so the white would show at the top and bottom, but you could make them just a tad bigger to fill the entire space.

I actually attached the paper strips to each other, and tied the 1 1/4" Old Olive Striped Ribbon around them before attaching to the card.  Once the whole piece was on the card front, I just added the sticker.  That's it!

The Versatility of Service & Sacrifice

Service & Sacrifice is one of our new military stamp sets, and another favorite of mine.  I took it with me on our recent Florida trip, and this is the card I made while we were there.  I love that the sentiments in this set are perfect for just about every military card you would need.  But, these sentiments can also be used for police officers, fire fighters and more.  In addition to that, some are great for anyone; like the one featured here.  I combined it with a tree from Lovely As A Tree, and papers from Thouroughly Modern DSP and the hostess paper pack called Patterns Pack III.  I also used the Rock'n'Roll stamping technique on the tree with Old Olive and Soft Suede Classic Ink Pads.

Military Card - Courage

Courage is one of my favorite new stamp sets.  I love that it highlights all branches of the service so beautifully.  What a great way to say "thank you" to our men and women in the armed forces. 

I wanted this to be a simple card, not over-powered by background images or embellishments.  Just a simple "thanks."  I used Sahara Sand, Soft Suede & Basic Black card stock.  The image was stamped in Soft Suede, & the sentiment in StazOn Jet Black.

Inspiration Is Everywhere!

Last weekend, we visited Tom's Aunt Eloise in Florida.  While I was there, I made a few cards . . . Yes, "have stamps will travel" is my motto! 

I will post those cards over the next few days, but wanted to start with the first one today. 

This card was actually inspired by Eloise's recently re-designed guest bathroom!  Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of the room, but her walls were painted Sahara Sand and the room has a tailored Asian feel.  She has small accents of black and red, mixed with dark wood. 

This is my interpretation of those colors.  I had a lot of fun designing this one.  All of the products on this card are in our new 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog.  The only new product, though, is the striped Sahara Sand paper which is from Patterns Pack Designer Series Paper III (Hostess Level 1).  What do you think?

Classic Christmas

This quick and easy card with classic Christmas colors is easy to reproduce.  I simply . . .

~stamped and cut out the flowers from Fifth Avenue Floral
~stamped and punched the sentiment from our new Level 2 hostess set called Christmas Punch
~used our Eyelet Border Punch to make the scalloped border
~colored some white taffeta ribbon to match
~used SNAIL adhesive to attached all the elements to the card front (except the sentiment which is on Stampin' Dimensionals)

Pretty Little Pony

I'm so excited!  My new goodies finally arrived yesterday, and I'm having a blast with all the new stamps, paper and ribbon! 

Isn't this little pony adorable?  And, how fun are our new In Color shades?!  I used Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay on this bright birthday card. 

Just be sure that you have your Stamp-a-ma-jig handy for this set.  There are 11 stamps in our brand new Pony Party stamp set, and most of them are tiny.  Here's a hint:  I recently purchased a bulk order of the images sheets for the stamp-a-ma-jig.  Our Table Top Cutter did a beautiful job of cutting one sheet into quarters.  Now, I have four little image sheets with all the stamps for this set lined up and ready to play!  I stamped the images on the plastic sheets with StazOn ink, so they'll last longer; and stored them in the stamp box along with the Party Pony set.

I love our new Lots of Bots stamp set!  I had tons of fun coloring this little guy, and the other bots.  You'll see those guys in future posts. 

This is a fairly simple birthday card with the star from Nursery Necessities stamped in Encore Silver Ink on Basic Black card stock.  The other colors used are Bashful Blue and Old Olive. 

I really like this color combo, and with the "Happy Birthday Human," it dawned on me that this is a nice mix of earth and space (blue and green of earth mounted on a starry background).  

I am currently scheduling workshops for August and September.
